Audion
This is a program for managing CDs, LPs, DATs and tapes. It has some interesting functions like searching for single artists or songs in the lists. Furthermore, lists, labels and a notebook can be printed out via GDOS. This demo version is limited to 10 entries in each list and when a tape label is printed, these entries are overprinted with a cross.

The graphics have been nicely designed and the scrolling of the whole engine is quite fast and almost smooth. Furthermore, the gameplay is supported by a number of sound samples, such as the voice output of the game character.
Diese aktuelle Demoversion des neuen DoomClones für den Falcon enthält einen umfangreichen und komplett spielbaren Level, in dem bereits viele Features der Vollversion integriert wurden. Die Grafiken wurden schön gestaltet, und das Scrolling der gesamten Engine ist ziemlich schnell und nahezu ruckelfrei. Weiterhin wird das Spielgeschehen von einer Reihe von Soundsamples, wie beispielsweise der Sprachausgabe der Spielfigur, unterstützt. Damit "Running" ordnungsgemäß funktioniert, benötigt man neben dem zweiten Teil des Programmpakets von Diskette Nr. 113 auch eine Festplatte mit mindestens 7 MB freiem Speicherplatz.

Fast Boot 030
This small utility is interesting for all owners of a Falcon without an IDE hard disk. It installs a new boot sector on a floppy disk, which makes sure that the Falcon bypasses the IDE boot sequence at every startup, thus shortening the boot process by ten seconds. For this process to work, the disk with the special boot sector must be in drive A when the Falcon is switched on. -
Willie's Adventures
This is the demo version of a new jump'n run game for the Falcon. The preview contains an extensive level and clearly shows that the programmers have used Rayman as a guide for game development. Like his big idol, Willie scrolls through his colorful world with very detailed and nicely drawn graphics. The game also contains good background music and a number of animated opponents.

ATOS 2/97
The current April/May issue of the ATARI disk magazine in ST-Guide format. It is once again well filled with interesting news, software tests and detailed courses, e.g. about the programming language Forth or the design of websites. Furthermore this issue also contains a report about a user's experiences with Hades. ST-Guide is required to display this colored hypertext. But it is also possible to display this text on a b/w screen. -
Nanjing
Nanjing is another game from the Play it again, GEM series. The aim of this old far-eastern game is to place 72 stones, which differ by pattern and/or colour, on a 12x8 square. Certain rules have to be followed, which makes solving the task quite tricky. -
ST-Guide 1.5
Hypertext system. This program can be used to display hypertexts, such as the Atos magazine or many program manuals. The big advantage of a hypertext system is that you can jump directly to the desired position in such a text by mouse click instead of reading through long instructions. Starting with version 1.5 it is possible to display colored hypertexts in addition to b/w.

STZip is a program that allows you to compress and decompress files, i.e. to reduce their lengths. You saves space on your disks and reduce the transmission time if you send the files by modem. It also allows you to group several files in one single file, whose extension in general is ZIP. STZip uses files that are compatible with PKZip 2.04 on the IBM PC, and the Unix Info-Zip programs Zip 1.9/Unzip 5.0. -

Boulder Smash Falcon
Another worthy representative of the well-known Boulder Dash game principle, in which, as always, the task is to collect all the diamonds in a level. Only when all the diamonds have been collected can you advance to the next level. However, numerous stones and tricky mazes make it difficult to play through the game world quickly. The demo version runs exclusively on the Falcon in true color mode and contains only two levels. -
Stoop 1.05
Stoop is a boot manager for the Atari Falcon. It has its own graphical interface and uses the mouse for most operations though it does make some use of the keyboard. -
Super Bomberman
A clone of the well-known Super Dynablaster for the Falcon. The goal of the game is to blow up walls and its opponents with bombs. Up to six players can compete against each other to make life difficult with bombs and some other extras. The characters are controlled via joystick, joypad and/or keyboard. Super Bomber Man has an addictive quality and can keep several players glued to the screen for hours.

GodBoy: Mega Man
The “Reservoir Gods” continue to work on their GodBoy project and present “Megaman,” already the fourth revised title for the GameBoy emulator on the Falcon. In addition to rich colors and a cool sound, the game also offers some new basic functions. The main menu can now be operated entirely with the JagPad, and it is possible to save or reload a game at any point during play. Since “Megaman” is unfortunately quite slow, accelerator boards such as “Nemesis” are fully supported.

This is a small and very powerful text editor that should be of particular interest to “Pure C” programmers. “PrEd2” is largely based on the original editor included with “Pure C,” but it has several advantages over it: It only requires about 90 KB of RAM and, thanks to its GEM interface, is resolution-independent. "STELLA" ist vor allem bei der Archivierung größerer Bildmengen, wie sie z.B. auf CD-ROMs vorkommen, sehr hilfreich und bietet neben vielen Im-/Export-Modulen für zahlreiche Bildformate auch die Wahl zwischen einem Listen- und Vorschaumodus. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, die Bilder zu manipulieren und, "NVDI" vorausgesetzt, auf einem Farbdrucker auszudrucken.
