This demonstration illustrates the speed of the Atari Blitter at performing bit orientated memory moves. On an STe configured for PAL, BOINGSTE operates at 50 frames per second compared to about 4 frames per second doing the same operation with only the MC 68000 in use. A stereo sample has been included with this demonstration. This has been sampled at 6258Hz, demonstrating the superb sound quality that can be obtained with an STe at a relatively low sample rate. At any one time, approximately 400 colours are being displayed on the screen.
