    Another platform game, the aim of which is to pick up all the ruby rings on each level and so progress to the next level. A number of different nasties try to thwart your progress. One or two players and even child and adult modes can be selected from within the game. Collect potions as you go, to enhance your abilities to fire jump and run.
  • Magic Stones 1.02
    Select from three games, all based around the Tetris theme. Tetris is a traditional clone of the game. Bitris is a two player version and Columns is very similar in style but rows can be made vertically, horizontally and diagonally.

    Mariant is played with 104 cards (2 packs). The aim of the game is to sort all the cards in the 8 suits.

    Written to show the power of STOS, this is Pacman with a difference. First of all it's two player (or one player against the computer) game. Both players use the same map and the screen is split into two, yet they never meet. Gone are the moving ghosts and instead there are death traps and bonus icons.

    In this Shareware game you must pilot your starship between various planets, destroying defence systems as you go. Control is mainly by use of the joystick but the keyboard controls your direction of fire. After destroying six power bases, you must locate the super brain hidden deep in a cavern and destroy it.

    A great arcade type game with huge sprites and plenty of action. As a mercenaries hired to liberate the Empire, you must prove your worth by completing missions on three of the four occupied worlds before progressing to free fourth. Put simply, you must avoid or destroy the nasties and collect all the objects on one level to progress to the next. This Shareware version is password protected so you need to register to complete the game.

    An unusual platform game where you must kick your enemies around, so as to trap them in cages. To help you, bonus objects will appear from time to time. Everything is joystick controlled. Simple yet addictive fun.

    An arcade/puzzle game, the object of which is to destroy the enemies on each level. You do this by luring them into traps and collecting mines with which to blow them up. There are fifty levels in all and the quicker you go, the better. As time goes on things really start to hot up!
  • Killing Time
    A 15 level game of skill. You begin in the Stone Age and progress through a number of different time zones, each one offering different adversaries. On each level you must shoot at the enemy or fire rocks at them, before they fire at you. Bonuses can be obtained but certain figures should not be shot at, so you'll need your wits about you.

    A shoot 'em up for between two and four players where the main idea is to destroy your opponents before they destroy you. Control is by joystick and you'll need at least one other person to play this game as there are no computer controlled ships.     Yet another adaptation of the classic game. This variant allows up to four players to compete on an ST and up to eight players on an STE! Each player has infinite lives as the game ends when all the dots have been eaten.

    This is a three level demo of a much larger Shareware game for the STE. The Zuffers are tiny round creatures who have been dislodged from their shelters after a meteor crashed into their planet. Your task is to move them back into their shelters before they are killed by radiation. However, the Zuffers will only fit into a shelter of the correct shape. Control of the game is by joystick. Needs 1 Meg. STE ONLY.

    Move around a maze and collect gems as you go, before making your way to the exit. It sounds easy but your task is complicated as you must complete each level within a required number of moves. Also, on later levels the surface becomes slippery and you are unable to stop until yoo reach a barrier.

    Pothole 2 is a twenty level game based on those classic games like 'Boulderdash' that were around years ago. The basic idea, and it is pretty basic, is to 'tunnel' through the very bowels of the Earth in a desperate bid to 'collect' all of the diamonds on a level and then head for the exit.

    Three games in one. All the action takes place in Outer Space where you control a ship. The first game has you destroying asteroids, the others are two player games where you compete against an opponent. Needs 1 Meg.

    Yet another Pacman clone, again with some added features not seen in other games of this type. This version has impressive sound and graphics and allows up to three players to play at once. As with all pacman games the idea is to rush around the maze gobbling up the pods and avoiding the ghosts.

    A strategic game of war (based on Strategic Conquest on the Mac), the main objective of which is to destroy all the other players. At the beginning of a game each player is assigned a city from where they must start. Cities produce weapons, provided that they can acquire sufficient resources, and these weapons can be used against your enemies or to gain control of more cities which in turn will produce yet more weapons. This latest version is fully Falcon compatible, running in any 16 or 256 colour mode. It is also Multi-TOS compatible and you can play two player games using a null modem cable. A map editor is available direct from the author. World Conquest is a real classic!

    A football management game. Control is mainly by use of the keyboard and all the usual elements found in this type of game are evident in this version. You begin in division three and by selecting your team carefully, you aim to make it to the top. There's lots of statistics relating to the team and also the club's finances. In this Shareware version, the user is only able to play the first 15 games of a season but the full unrestricted game is available from the author. Needs 1 Meg.

    Guide your man around the playing field dropping sticks of dynamite at strategic locations in order to destroy walls or other players. There are many objects to collect, some of which assist your progress and others retard it. Add this to the fact that you are playing against the clock and have a limited supply of dynamite and you'll see that a fair bit of planning is needed too! STE ONLY, Needs 1 Meg.

    Your aim is to fight off 100 waves of attacking aliens as they move horizontally across the screen. The further you progress into the game, the faster the aliens come and the more often they return your fire. There are no bonuses or power-ups it's just shoot at everything that moves.     A fun puzzle game. Select which puzzle you want to load from the menu. Now decide now many pieces you want it jumbled into (from 4 to 80) and click onto 'Puzzle' in the menu. This will jumble up the pieces on the right of the screen and your task is to rearrange them in the correct order on the left. When you first start up the program, it loads up all the menu entries for all the puzzles of the correct resolution. The program is only supplied with mono puzzles. However, colour pictures may be used and details on the required file structure is given in the doc.

    This is a demo version of a game made using the 3D Construction Kit II, the full version being available from the author. At the beginning of the game, despite terrible injuries sustained after previous combat, you are the last hope of saving Earth from the Martians. First you must find the parts to a laser in order to shoot down a transmitter on Mars, then you have to journey to the red planet to complete the next part of your mission.

    Three jigsaw programs from Leesoft, New Zealand. Two of the games are of the type where you load up a picture, divide it into a number of pieces which are then mixed up, and then you must click on two pieces which will swap places as you try to reform the original picture. The final game splits a picture up into a number of small pieces, each of which can then be selected, rotated and placed in position, much as you do when completing a real jigsaw.
  • Electronic Jigsaw Puzzle 1.0
    Load up a Degas, Neo or Tiny format picture (several supplied on disk). The program jumbles up the picture into 32 blocks. Click on the blocks you want to swap and they will swap with one another. You are told how long you took to complete the puzzle and how many moves you used up. You can view the picture at any time. The program also supports colour cycling.

    A Shareware RPG adventure game. You take the part of a once powerful wizard who must regain his former powers in order to defeat Omega. You must travel the land and find people with the right skills and mind melt them into your own body.
  • Tank
    A shoot 'em up where you use the mouse to move a cross hair and try to shoot down anything that moves. Some of the enemy vehicles take more than one hit and you only have a limited supply of bullets and missiles.
  • Twinz
    One of those infuriating puzzle games that you think should be really easy but turns out to be quite the opposite. In this game you must find matching pairs of objects hidden behind a number of doors, using the mouse to click on the doors. A good memory and quick responses are required as only two doors can be opened at a time and the whole game is played against the clock.

    A puzzle game based on the same principle as Lemmings. You must guide a group of fleas from the entrance to the exit by placing ramps and blocks along the route. Obviously it's not as easy as it sounds, there are many ways for a flea to die!
  • Springy Thingy
    A 3D platform game, the main idea of which is to paint all the blue tiles purple by first landing on a paint pot and then on the blue tiles. This is not as easy as it sounds and movement around the tiles is made a little more complicated because, should you move off the tiles, you fall into a deep abyss and lose a life!
  • Pengi
    A maze game where the maze is made up of blocks, many of which can be moved, by pushing them. Your aim is to try to kill all the snowbees on each level by squashing them with the blocks. Each snowbee killed gives up a bonus and once you have cleared the level, it's on to the next.

    It's the old favourite of space invaders but given an up to date treatment in this new version. Control is by keyboard and those descending aliens come fast and furious. Have you got the speed of reaction and accuracy of shot needed to stop them before they reach the bottom of the screen? In this version the aliens are bigger and more colourful but are just as menacing. The notes accompanying the game boast that the program incorporates 4 channel digital sound and 32 colour graphics!

    You fire a laser from the top left of the screen and by arranging the reflectors in the correct way, attempt to deflect the laser beam around the screen to burst a balloon situated at the bottom right. All this against a timer and with 38 levels of play.

    A demo of what can be achieved using the 3-D Construction Kit. It's not a game as such, just an opportunity to explore a number of corridors using the mouse to click on the relevant icon to aid your progress.

    This is a darts simulation which allows you to select from eight computer opponents and eight beer levels (the beer affects your ability to control your throwing arm). Having made your selections it's game on. Control is by use of the mouse buttons and some of these opponents will have you crying in your beer!

    Berzerk by Dave Munsie. This game represents another trip down to the classic arcade games of yesterday. BERZERK was one of the first arcade games. The game is duplicated here pretty much down to the pixel, including the robotic voices. This game should boot up fine from ST low or ST medium resolution.
  • Magno-Ball
    Catch the ball using your joystick controlled ship, a magnet will fix it to the front of your ship, then guide it towards your opponent's goal. Beware, contact of any kind (with the edges of the playing area or your opponent) will result in the ball escaping. Once the goal is in sight, shoot. This is the sort of game that looks much easier than it really is, but it will have you coming back for just one more try!
  • Minesweeper - The Director's Cut
    Use the mouse to uncover squares, if you uncover a mine then you're dead, the aim is to uncover all the squares without revealing any of the concealed mines. Numbers on the uncovered squares tell you how many mines are on the surrounding squares and by logical deduction, you should be able to work out the location of the mines.

    As its name suggests, PIPETRIS is a cross between Tetris and Pipemania. As in Pipemania, your task is to create a pipe for a liquid to flow through, but whereas in that game the pipe sections can be placed anywhere on screen, in PIPETRIS they fall into a well Tetris-fashion. Unlike Pipemania, they can be rotated.

    A Mario style Shareware platform game. You must guide the hero, Max, through each level to the exit, picking up the letters of the word EXIT on the way. You must avoid monsters, spikes, water and lava (all of which have a harmful effect upon you) and watch out for hidden platforms, secret rooms and bonus items.

    A demo version of a game from Dunces Cap Software. It's billed as the ultimate matching puzzle game and the full version has over 70 levels of play and 5 different game styles. The demo version has 10 levels of matching and 3 lucky dip sections just to whet your appetite.

    Guide Alfred the snake around the maze collecting all the Yin Yang symbols in order to progress to the next level. On different levels, Alfred grows by a different number of units for each symbol he collects. You must manoevre your way around the maze in such a way so as to avoid letting Alfred bite himself! In some levels Alfred simply follows your commands, on others, you have to plot his path several moves ahead. Various objects can be collected and these may help or hinder your progress. There are also certain puzzles to be solved before some of the levels can be completed.

    A real mind boggler. You have to supply two customers with 4l of wine each but only have a 5L and a 3L container attached to your pump. Try to regulate the flow between the vessels to beat the puzzle!
  • Combat (shooter)
    A great fast action arcade quality shoot 'em up. It is reminiscent of Operation Wolf and Commando and involves shooting everything that moves. Blow up tanks and helicopters, shoot down supplies and ammunition and shoot down as many soldiers as you can!

    A straight conversion of Battlezone from the arcades of the 1970's! Wireframe graphics, slow moving vehicles, the lot. For those of you unfamiliar with the original, it's a simple case of shooting everything that moves and dodging enemy fire.

    It is a board game played on a board containing 12x8 square fields and a pouch containing the pieces. You must place all 72 pieces on the board in legal positions. It's quite difficult when you consider that there are only 96 squares and therefore not much leeway for errors.

    The object of the game is to defeat your opponent's king in battle. There are six diffenent pieces that you can use. Each piece has a different ability and strength. The most important piece of the game is the King. Then comes the Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and finally the pawn. When a piece confronts an opponent, the screen then changes into an attack arena. The player that instigates the attack gets the advantage: extra strength. Attacking a King, however, will not award you with any advantage.

    Two versions of the well known light cycles game. The first is a one player game played as a tournament over twenty rounds against a variety of computer controlled opponents. The second game is similar but allows up to four players to compete against each other, provided you have a four player adaptor. The basic idea for those not familiar with the game is that each player directs his or her beam of light around the playing area using the joystick trying to avoid the other competitors and, more importantly, trying not to cross the trail that each player leaves as they move.
  • Wyrd Ways
    You are one of four players (human or computer controlled) in a combat area and must collect six objects and then proceed to kill the other players. Your move is in two parts, the first involves moving the maze (it is made up of sections and you can move one section each turn) and the second moves your character. Digitised speech and sound effects are used throughout the game.

    You have volunteered to rid your galaxy of invading space pirates and so, piloting your fighter Andromeda, you must blow away the enemy and collect power-ups as you try to complete this vertical scrolling shoot-em-up. This Shareware game is joystick controlled and the action takes place over 8 levels.
  • Ratewort (TI_RA_WO)
    An educational program, similar to hangman but without the gallows. The game contains of lots of lists of words and an editor can be used to enter your own selections. A dual language game which can be played in English or German.
  • WalZ
    A bat and ball type game in a similar vein to Arkanoid. There are lots of falling objects to collect, some improve your performance, others impede it. There's three skill levels and an odd extra feature called 'English' which makes the ball follow the speed and direction of the bat! Countless levels of play with sampled sound, stereo if you have an STE.

    Another text adventure by Tony Stiles. This one takes place in and around a castle. Your task is to release the life forces of the people of the castle from an object of mystical powers in which they have been imprisoned by Droganya, the leader of the black demons. Your first problem is of course to locate the whereabouts of this object.
  • Adventureland
    Described as a classic, this adventure dates back to about 1980. You find yourself lost in a forest and meet many mystical creatures and encounter many dangers as you progress through Adventureland. A small adventure by today's stands but nevertheless interesting.
  • Infocom Interpreter
    This interpreter will allow you to run any Infocom game on your ST (even those which were not released on the ST!).
  • Awe-Chasm
    An adventure game by Tony Stiles using the C Adventure Toolkit (LAN.3902). You play the role of either Snatch or Crunch in this text adventure. The aim of the game is to explore the Awe-Chasm, find the treasure and put it in a chest.
  • Curses
    You sneak off to the attic in an attempt to dodge out of the packing for your forthcoming holiday. What you find is an array of documents dating back hundreds of years, all of which dwell on the curses which have befallen your family throughout the ages. As you work your way through them, the game begins, but how will it end?

    This is a fast-action arcade game for one player only. You must run about the screen building a wall behind you and defusing the bombs one by one. The bombs count down to zero then explode, so you have to be quick!

    Bomb out the buildings and make a safe landing on the cleared sight. This is a classic implementation from the 8 bit micros but with three planes to control instead of one! If you have a 520STE double-click the main program. Don't run the loader program.

    This is an immaculate implementation of the board game Reversi.   It is entirely  mouse controlled  and plays a mean game.   You may find it difficult to  beat  the computer but this will maintain its appeal.  Mono or colour.

    A top quality platforms and ladders game. Guide Bill through 10 levels to rescue his girlfriend from the depths of the disused plutonium mine. You must repair the walkways and dodge the mutants as you go. Highly recommended.
  • Ace Invaders
    This is a marvellous adaption of the age old classic shoot 'em up. Now features two versions of the game in the same program!
  • Tri-Heli
    A horizontal scrolling arcade and strategy game. You control the helicraft and must collect diamonds one at a time and return them to base. Just to make life more difficult, the diamonds are buried underground. You must use bombs to make holes in the ground then manoeuvre the helicraft into the hole to collect the gem! Slow moving asteroids descend from the sky and contact with them destroys your craft. Once a level has been completed the ground becomes higher and so your task becomes even harder, but each time you return to base you top up your supply of ammunition. Includes full assembler source code.

    This is the first of two games based on the South Atlantic Conflict. Your aim is to rescue troops stranded on Buff Cove. Many hazards will get in your way, unexploded minesbeing only one. Guide your armoured personnel carrier through the Cove sucessfully collecting the stranded men as you go. Several different levels provide a challenge. Full instructions can be accessed by pressing the F keys.

  • Quest for Galaxia
    A conversion of the old Atari 8-bit game. An excellent shoot 'em up in a similar vein to Ace Invaders. This one is much better!

    You are a bat and must fly through a haunted house trying to find a large metal ball which is hidden somewhere in the house. You must avoid hitting any of the nasties you meet on your quest (ghosts, hands, flying axes etc). Both graphics and sound are excellent.
  • Impulse (Shoot'em Up)
    n excellent shoot 'em up which requires a great deal of strategic planning. Fire at a ball then press fire again for the ball to fire. Moving the joystick ensures that the line of fire is deflected at the appropriate angle. Your aim is to shoot the aliens before they pass through the screen. Kill them all and you'll progress to the next level. An easy version has also been put on the disk for those who need the extra lives.

    A version of the famous memory game where you have to match pictures behind closed doors which you open by using the mouse. If they match they stay open, if not they close.

    A fast action shoot 'em up featuring parallax scrolling. Each time you clear the screen of aliens, the last one drops a fuel capsule. Collect this and progress to the next level. Can you beat this one?
