Overdrive
A racing game played against two computer opponents. There are 25 different tracks (you race 5 laps on each) to complete. -
Heartland
It's a fast action multi- directional scrolling platforms and ladders game. The authors claim it features the largest playing area of any Atari platformer, not difficult to believe when you look at the on-line map! Every card is hidden behind a door, retrieve the card and you're transported to a different part of the map! As you would expect, there's lots of things to collect, hazzards to avoid and so on.

Also included is a program which lets you create your own logic problems. -
Trax'ion 0.1
A strategy based board game for two players. The game consists of 64 identical tiles with black and white straight sections on one side and black and white curved sections on the other. The players take turns and aim to build a track which connects two of the four sides of the playing area. The first player to achieve this wins. The Atari version of Trax is in French but gameplay is simple enough that this need not cause a problem. The TRAX.FAQ (which explains the rules of the game) is in English. -
Tarot 2.1
A game played with a standard deck of cards against two computer players.

-
Power Up 1.0
A racing car game from the Czech Republic. The game is seen from an overhead perspective looking down on the track. Five cars participate in each race, two of which can be human controlled. Control is by keyboard or joystick and is much more responsive than similar games of this type. The aim of the game is simple, to win the race and reduce your own lap time. Power Up is unique in that it runs on any Atari computer but has the ability to utilise the blitter and DMA sound (at 25 Khz on the STE) if your hardware supports it. Even STFM owners get digitised music! It can also output sound to Replay, Replay Professional, Playback, MV16 and Prosound Designer cartridges.

-
Nosco
A rather complicated puzzle game in which your aim is to position all the balls in a straight line. This is complicated by the presence of blocks which move each time you click onto a ball. Unfortunately the docs are in French. -
Fire Snare
A two player game in which you must guide a snake around the screen collecting mushrooms. Just to add to the fun, some mushrooms are poisonous and eating one of those results in losing a life. Great game, regrettably the docs are in French. -
Gess 1.0
The computer version of a board game invented by the mathematical society of the University of Cambridge (also known as the Archimedeans). It is based upon chess but played on an 18x18 chequered board and all the pieces look alike (as in draughts). It is usually played on a Go board using the standard sets of stones. It's a two player game with rather complicated rules but is very well documented (in English!) and should be easy to pick up. -
Red Cat Rummy 500+ (TOS 1.x)
A computer rendition of the popular card game. This implementation is easy to use and features several difficulty levels when competing against the computer. It is also possible to play a two player game over the modem or by connecting two Ataris via a null modem cable. If you're familiar with Rummy you'll love this one. If not, you'll find the rules well explained in the doc. This is a demo version with some features disabled. The full version is available at low cost.

-

It is also possible to play a two player game over the modem or by connecting two Ataris via a null modem cable. If you're familiar with Rummy you'll love this one. R-Zone II
Similar to its predecessor but with different types of floor tiles (permanent, dissolving and one-way), a pause mode, 32 levels and a few more extras. -
Quinzaine 1.0
An excellent implementation of patience played with two packs of cards. The cards are dealt randomly into 15 piles and must be arranged into eight piles (one ascending, the other descending for each suit). Rules are basically those for patience and are fully explained in both English and French. -
Zaptastic
Remember Jeff Minter's Anticipal on the C64? Well this is basically it on the ST! It's essentially a madcap shoot 'em up in which your aim is to eliminate everything that moves in all 64 rooms within the set time limit. It's odd, it's weird but it's great fun too. -
R-Zone
Move your drone around the playing area and collect the nine radioactive pods. You must keep moving and can't backtrack your own steps otherwise you lose a life. Nine levels to complete. -
Puzzle (Randle)
A sliding puzzle where you must re-arrange all 26 letters of the alphabet into the correct order.

-
Emperor 1.03b
A strategy game for 1 to 4 players. Your aim to to produce sufficient consumer goods and military hardware to keep the population happy and expand your territory by means of conquest. This Shareware version restricts you to 100 moves, the registered version removes this limitation. Any number of players can be human or computer controlled and there's support for playing the game by modem over the phone lines.

-
Yukon F
Perhaps the best ever implementation of Patience on the Atari. It basically follows the normal rules of the traditional card game but has three skill levels. It is possible for you to design your own cards and use your own (HSN format) sound samples. On machines with DMA sound, the supplied sounds add to the atmosphere. On an STFM, you can get the same effects if you have Petra and Paula installed.

-
Yukon - The Next Generation!
Replacement sounds and graphics for Yukon on GAM.5858. These give you a futuristic look to the cards and short samples from the TV series StarTrek - The Next Generation. Must be used in conjunction with Yukon i.e. this is not a standalone disk.

-
DARC II - Defensive Alien Remoting Command
An impressive intro based around an archaelogical find in Cairo starts off this game. Once into the game proper, you realise that it's a DOOM clone running on your ST and a damned fine one too. OK so you don't get texture mapping or a choice of weapons and there's only one 'breed' of alien but it's the same basic concept. Your goal is to navigate the maze, blasting aliens as you go, and collect the three keys which open doors leading to deeper levels. To win the game you must collect all four computer disks hidden beyond those doors. Control is by joystick or keyboard and there's Map and Help features built in.

-
Avalon (RPG)
It is an overhead view game in which you move your character around a large playing area gathering food, water, keys, axes and other objects. Certain keys open certain doors and certain objects give you safe passage in other 'worlds'. The aim is to collect all objects in each world and move on to the next. Each world is separated from the next by a masive abyss and the only way to travel between them is by using the transporter cards which you collect during your travels. Avalon comes with no docs and the in-game text is entirely French but don't let that put you off. The objective is simple and gameplay is obvious. Hours of entertainment for fans of Gauntlet, Nethack and other games of this genre. STE ONLY.

-
Diamond Ice
A seasonal offering from Mr STOS himself and the direct followup to Heartland. After recovering the 13 Hearts, Sissy and Sassy realise that someone has stolen the Diamonds and Diamond-Ice. Your mission is to locate and melt the Diamond-Ice, thus recovering the stolen Diamonds. As with its predecessor, this is a fun filled platforms and ladders game but with the added complication of puzzles to solve along the way. Meet Eskimos such as Eric & Ernie and Phil & Grant as well as a few sarcastic Snowmen, helpful or grumpy old men and some friendly penguins. They all give hints about the game, ignore them at your peril.

-
Mole Mayhem V1.1
You play the part of secret agent Philby of the Moledonia Underground Intelligence Corporation and must save Moledonia before evil dictator General Burgess blows it up! Quite a plot, put simply you have to bounce your mole around this platformer and defuse all the bombs on one level in order to progress to the next. Miss a platform and the results get messy! There's some tricky manoeuvering to be done and lots of levels to complete. Good graphics and a stereo soundtrack add to the enjoyment. Originally intended as a commercial release, this disk contains the FULL unrestricted 18 level version of this excellent Shareware title. STE Only, Needs 1 Mb.

-
The Naarjek Collection
It all started with Naarjek where you (a computer games programmer) go in to work one morning and find that you've been replaced by a Cyborg. Your employers have stolen your latest game designs and changed the access codes to lock you out of the system. Your only hope is to hack into the system to recover your work. This game, similar to Hacker on 8-bit machines, proved so popular that the author went on to write four followups, all of which are on this disk. In each game you must gain access then use the various resources within the Naarjek computer to learn how it 'thinks' and outwit it. On later programs this involves planting renegade programs (known as worms) inside the computer to carry out specific tasks. By Naarjek 3, the computer has assumed control over itself and locks out anyone it likes, even making human-like decisions at times. Due to self-mutating code, its 'personality' is ever changing and your attempts to 'break in' and regain control over the system are even more difficult than in previous releases of the game. Naarjek 4 and 5 follow on with the same theme (breaking into a computer system which has is controlled by its own artificial intelligence routines), it's just that the games are tougher to crack and different strategies are needed. The Naarjek Collection is for those of you who want a challenge and prefer mind games to shoot 'em ups. If you get stuck early on, there's a help program included for Naarjek 2, after that you're on your own! Naarjek 1 is colour only, the others run in colour or mono.

-
Mega Mines
As you would expect, this is a Minesweeper clone but it's better than most, with a huge minefield, graphics and sound effects and superb explosions. The demo version just lets you play on the easiest level but is otherwise fully functional. -
Sam's Voyage
You play the part of Smiler Sam stranded on an inhospitable planet in Outer Space. It is connected to his home planet by treacherous footpaths and your aim is to return home safely. The footpaths are divided into 25 levels and you must amass sufficient points on each level to progress to the next. Just two snags, Gordon Grimmer is chasing you and it's rather easy to slip and fall into Outer Space! -
Sokoban - Bobby the Hippie Ghost edition
A re-write of the old classic puzzle type game where you have to push blocks around the screen and avoid boxing yourself in. In this version you play a hippie ghost who is frantically trying to disguise all his CND signs (by hiding them behind stones) in advance of an inspection by the local ghost licensing agency! Graphics are superb, hiding the game's 8-bit roots whilst maintaining the addictive playability of the original. 45 levels are supplied along with easy instructions on how to create your own. -
Magisches Quadrat 1.0
A magic squares game. The aim of the game is to place the tiles (numbered from 1 to 25) onto a 5x5 matrix so that all lines (horizontally, vertically and diagonally) add up to 64. Fully multi-tasking friendly. An excellent challenging puzzle game.

-
Morpion 4
Similar in concept to noughts and crosses where each player strives to get three of his own symbol in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). Morpion takes the concept further by allowing you to play on several board at the same time. There are 3D and 4D variations on the theme, making it very difficult to know when pieces on different boards make up a legal line of three. There are several types of board view to choose from, different difficulty levels and the ability to play against the computer or a friend. -
Donkey Island
Donkey Island is a graphic adventure game in Monkey Island style for all ATARIs with at least 1 Megabyte memory. You have to search for the lost game Donkey Island and solve all kinds of puzzles.

-
Destruction Imminent
An impressive Doom clone for the ST. Features include high speed 3D engine, animated monsters (each with its own characteristics), STE enhanced but STFM compatible, secret rooms with additional equipment and much more. Destruction Imminent is very fast and probably as close to Doom as you're going to get on a standard ST/STe. This demo features a complete level from the full game (there are 25 in total).

-
Dice II
A 2,3 or 4 player game of Yahtzee. For anyone unfamiliar with the game, you take turns at throwing five dice. Different points are awarded for pairs, three of a kind and so forth. No instructions supplied but it's simple enough for any Yahtzee player. -
The Rollercoaster Experience
A puzzle game rather like Pipe Mania. You must use the supplied pieces of track to create logical route for the ball to get from A to B. If the balls runs off the track or gets blocked, you lose a life. The demo features 10 fully playable levels from the 100 supplied with the full version. -
Starhawk II
A simple vertically scrolling shoot 'em up. You must steer your fighter plane past obstacles and avoid enemy fire while blasting everything in sight. If it moves shoot it, if it doesn't you might as well shoot it anyway!

-
Billy Boy
This is a children's platform game released in April 1997 to coincide with the UK ATARI shows organised by Goodmans Int PDL, The game needs one meg and is optimised for the ATARI STe but will work on a STFM but without the sampled sounds, This game is not compatible with Falcon or TT, but anything else up to and including a Mega STe should be alright. As a childrens game simplicity is a keyword, You find yourself in various enchanted lands where you must enhance your score by collecting Yellow Stars, Along the way you will meet baddies that in most cases you can jump on and get them out of harms way for a short time, Pressing objects will eventually reveal the existence of a Pink Star, it is advisable to find this before leaving the level

-
Outland - Rebels versus Laserthons 2
The followup to Rebels vs Laserthons. As with its predecessor, Outland is a turns based strategy game but this latest version supports 2, 3 or 4 players. Each player can ally themselves to the Rebels or Laserthons, each of which has their respective strengths and weaknesses. The aim is simple, to build up an army and vanquish your opponents. You can construct vehicle factories, refineries, barracks, repair bays, satellite centres, nuclear power plants, helipads, anti-air lasers and several other buildings and weapons to help achieve your goal. Includes a map editor so you can design your own levels. A must for fans of strategic war games. STFM compatible, STE enhanced.

-
Rebels versus Laserthons - Realtime!
A realtime two player version of the original Rebels vs Laserthons. The game is almost identical to its predecessor (complete with specific missions for each level) with the exception that rather than being turns based, both players compete at the same time, one on keyboard, the other on joystick. It gives an almost arcade feel to this popular strategy game. Comes with a number of pre-designed levels and a built-in editor to create your own. Can import levels from the original game. STFM compatible, STE enhanced. Needs 1 Mb.

-
Roadkill
Four mortal enemies posing as cute cartoon characters decide to settle their differences by having a series of drag races. This is a one player game where the only rule is that there are no rules! Ram your opponents, force them off the road or into the various obstacles lying around the track, knock down some spectators (to notch up your score), just please yourself what you do as long as you win the race! You can choose to play any of the four drivers, each of which has his own unique 'abilities'. Saying the game isn't in bad taste (knocking down innocent spectators can hardly be described as "good taste"!) would be a lie but it's not a 'bad' game as far as the gameplay goes. As with Daniel's other games there's a level editor so you can design or edit levels to suit. STFM compatible, STE enhanced. Needs 1 Mb.

-
Alterra v1.01
Alterra is a strategic wargame in a medieval setting. The goal is to conquer all cities. This classic game concept has been modified by adding several elements from fantasy-/ roleplayinggames: for instance the presence of fantastic army units like dragons and demons. -
Joust
PD adaptation of the classic Atari arcade game where you fly around on an ostrich carrying a lance. The aim is to gain height as when two players collide, the highest one wins the joust. When a player is eliminated, it lays an egg. Collect all of these before they hatch to clear the screen and progress to the next level. Fast furious action for one or two players.

-
Peskies
Collect the key then move to the "X" but watch out for those Peskies! Each time you make it to the "X" you gain points, collide with a Peskie and you lose your only life! A simple yet frustratingly challenging game. -
Numbers
n educational game designed to help children learn the numbers 1 to 20. It is similar to "A Simple Memory Game". A grid of 9, 12, 16 or 20 squares displays numbers in a random sequence. The child must click onto the numbered squares in ascending order. A help bar at the bottom of the screen which displays the numbers consecutively can be switched on or off. There is another variant of the game in which you have to remember which squares hold which numbers. The numbers remain visible when selected in order until you get one wrong, then they disappear again. You must remember where they were and complete the sequence from 1 to 20 in the correct order. -
Mozaic
A completely new game concept played on a 13*13 grid. You must move your piece around the board (in any one of eight directions) collecting coloured squares. You can't step on the 'X' squares, retrace your steps or move in the same direction without first taking two moves in different directions. Sounds complicated but the concept is dead easy when you see the game, it's not so easy to complete the levels! -
Symbol Search
A two player game played on a 10*10 grid. A symbol appears to the right of the playing area and must be located on the grid. If you find it you then look for the next symbol and continue until you fail to find the relevant symbol. When this happens, control passes to your opponent, a bit like Snooker actually! The player who has the highest score when all squares have been uncovered wins the game.

-
H.E.R.O. 2
Like the original, HERO 2 is a platformer in which you must rescue a number of individuals from a sealed complex which is on a self-destruct mechanism. The storyline is different but the aim is the same. You must navigate the various levels without the aid of a map or on-board computer. Looked doors will block your passage, some need to be blown up, others opened by a security key. You must enter rooms and collect objects in an attempt to find a radiation suit, locate a survivor and give him the suit. You must then exit the level and progress to the next. There are various hazards to avoid, such as dripping acid and unfriendly droids amongst other things. The first level is really just a trainer, after that it really gets tough! HERO 2 is jam packed with sampled music (impresive if you've got stereo speakers), sampled speech and jazzed up graphics, resulting in a major improvement over the already popular HERO 1. Needs 4 Mb, STE or Falcon only.

Subaqua
The background story to this one is a mini-novel in its own right! To sum it up, it is set in the third millenium and Yikosaka are an interplanetary trading company. They have discovered LV- 217, a planet rich in mineral resources and "real" water. In an attempt to protect their find, Yikosaka install a Space Station above LV-217. However, news leaks out and others from across the galaxy, known as freeminers, decide to cash in on the planet's mineral resources. They sneak in undetected, grab what they can and leave. Your task is to destroy them. You start off with a basic spacecraft and earn credits for each freeminer destroyed. Credits are collected when you dock with the Space Station and may be used to repair or enhance your ship. You can build up quite a powerful craft with a bit of practice, this in turn is more efficient and will earn you more cash. Apart from the trading element, Subaqua is basically a fast action shoot 'em up. It resembles David Braben's "Virus" to a certain extent and is entirely mouse controlled.

-
Thrust (GEM) 0.5
How many of you remember Thrust on the C64, Spectrum and others? This is the ST version and it runs in a GEM window. For those unfamiliar with the original, you control your spacecraft in a similar manner to that used in the game Asteroids (except there are no asteroids!) and must avoid crashing and being hit by enemy fire. The goal appears to be to destroy the other spacecrafts and find a ball located somewhere within the level. Reaching the ball results in completion of the level. Only one level is supplied but you can make up more using any monochrome graphics package and a text editor. -
Light Out
The ST version of the popular game Lights Out. The aim is to switch off all the lights on a 5x5 grid. The only problem is that every time you switch a light on or off, you affect the status of four adjacent lights. Even with just six levels, it presents a formidable challenge. -
Gilbert
Does anyone remember Gauntlet and Rogue, or even the GEM version of Nethack? Well this is another game in that genre. It's a top down game where you wander around the playing area collecting objects. The objects often have to be collected in a specific order and you get a few nasties along the way to hamper your progress. The number keys at the top of the keyboard (and perhaps others as well) control your character and 7 levels are included. There are no instructions and it called a "demo"so it looks as if something bigger is on its way. -
Whipper-snapper's race
Guide a skier down a treacherous ski-slope. Sounds easy but it takes many twists and turns and there are lots of objects to collide with. This is a single level demo, the full game has multiple levels and several added extras. Looks like a modern day version of Horace Goes Skiing! -
Mr. Dash
A Boulderdash clone from Germany. As well as having to collect all the diamonds within a time limit and dodge the falling diamonds, there are awkwardly shaped walls which hinder your progress. The game is very fast moving and it's VERY difficult to complete the level within the allocated time.

-
Wallball
A bat and ball game for two players. You hit the ball across a barrier in a similar way to playing tennis. If your opponent misses it, you get the point. Each time the ball bounces across the barrier, another brick is added to it, the taller the barrier, the harder it is to get the ball over it. -
Magisches Quadrat 1.0
A magic squares game. The aim of the game is to place the tiles (numbered from 1 to 25) onto a 5x5 matrix so that all lines (horizontally, vertically and diagonally) add up to 64. Fully multi-tasking friendly. An excellent challenging puzzle game. -

Star Voyage 1.1
This is a Star Trek inspired game (though the names have been changed to protect the innocent!). The Rumolans and Klongins have formed an alliance against the Federation. Their ships outnumber the Federation's and conflict is inevitable. This is a two player, two joystick game. One player takes on the role of the Federation, the other the Alliance. Although the scenery changes from one engagement to the next, the aim is the same, to destroy your opponent before he does likewise. You take turns of being the defending and attacking ship, but you can both fire simultaneously. It usually takes more hits to destroy the defending ship than the attacker, hence the continual swapping of roles. Stereo samples throughout. Not exactly a fast action game but can be quite challenging dependent on who you are playing against. One of very few games which supports the use of two joysticks. Needs 1 Mb, STE ONLY.

ATTDC is a shoot 'em up where the aim is to kill the enemy before he kills you. Different weapons can be selected and there are a number of in-game options. This is a limited demo version which lets you complete three of the twenty levels. It features impressive graphics, smooth animation, different types of aliens, excellent sound effects and much more. Full version from 999 Software. When it asks for the second disk, press C to continue as we've squeezed it onto one disk. Needs 1 Mb.

-

Battle
A simple two player turns based war game. Each player has four pieces and must move or fire in order to defeat the enemy. No instructions! Multi-TOS compatible. -
Match-Up!
Another of those matching squares games. Open two doors, if the revealed symbols match, they are removed from the board, you get a point and another turn. This continues until you fail to match a pair, then it's your partner's turn. A rather simple implementation of this type of game, but ideally suited to young children.

Puzzle 97
A jigsaw puzzle game which runs in any resolution. Load up an IMG file (its colour depth must not exceed that of the current resolution) and select whether you want the puzzle made up from large, medium or small sized pieces. The actual number of pieces varies dependent on the size of the image. You are then presented with a conventional jigsaw puzzle on screen in a scrollable GEM window. Unlike the real life scenario, all pieces are the right way up. You can place pieces directly onto the playing area or build up sections of the puzzle independently of each other then move them into place on the main puzzle. Unfortunately the program and docs are in German and Polish but it can be picked up in five minutes as everyone knows how to make up a jigsaw puzzle! This is the best ever attempt at such a program. Several example files are supplied on disk and you can save semi-completed puzzles at any time and resume them at a later date. On an STE, TT or Falcon, you even get stereo sound effects! Runs fine on an FM too. If you don't have NVDI installed, you need to run the supplied ENHANCER program, otherwise PUZZLE97 won't work.

Let's Go Memo 1.5G
Another matching pairs game. You play on a 6x10 board and select two boxes to open. If symbols hidden behind them match, the doors stay open, otherwise they close. LGM can be played as a one or two player game and there are five sets of symbols to play with. Upon completion of a one player game, you are told the number of moves you took to clear the board. All in French, but simple to pick up. -
Ship Battles
An adaptation of the Battleships and Cruisers theme. It's simple to operate, just type in the grid reference to fire at, and hope for the best. Unlike similar games, you can't cheat by watching where your opponent places his ships. The computer places the ships randomly on the grid, regardless of whether you are playing a one or two player game. Misses are indicated in blue, hits in red. The first one to destroy his opponent's fleet wins. A tally of ships already sunk and those remaining to be discovered, is also displayed. A well presented version of this popular game. -
Startrash
A marble madness type game for 1 to 6 players. Each player takes his turn separately, continuing until he loses one of his seven lives. Your character is a bouncy ball and you have to bounce around the playing area collecting objects. As you collect objects, you must get past various guardians and climb the stairs to the next part of the level. A single level is likely to take weeks of practice to complete. Just as well because that's all you get in this demo version. The full version features a further 20 levels for those who can rise to the challenge!

Anoraks of Doom
The first in the "Untramieled Adventures" series of games created with HEXAID on Floppydisk UTL.6153. All games in this series are of the role-playing variety and run from the same shell but feature different graphics and game content. They features graphics, music, spell casting, interaction with other characters and more. You start off by choosing the name, sex and associated picture for each of the four characters in your team, then it's off to the adventure. The adventure is mouse and keyboard controlled but there's no tedious typing of long sentences, a single keypress is usually sufficient. Anoraks of Doom takes place in a medieval setting and you get absolutely no background info on what you are supposed to be doing (except surviving). There is however an extensive playing guide which is applicable to all games in the series.

Trapped II (ST/E)
A light cycles/tron type game for up to four human or computer controlled players. Control can be by joystick (up to four joysticks can be used with a parallel port adaptor) or keyboard (definable) and the aim is to avoid hitting the sides of the playing area or other players of course. As your light cycle progresses, it leaves a wall behind it. You must avoid hitting this wall and try to force your opponents to hit it! Trapped II features a built-in level editor, several speeds of play, lots of user-definable settings and a special tournament mode. -
Plop
A board game played on a grid of squares. You must place your counter on a square and as more counters are added to each square they eventually pop and scatter counters onto adjoining squares. The game ends when one of the two playing colours is completely removed from the board. -
Looped
A Pipe Mania clone. You are given a target score for the current level and the aim is to link up the pieces to form a loop. The longer the loop, the higher your score. Take too long placing a piece and you'll run out of time. Place pieces badly and you'll block your own path. A challenging game.

Super Pac-Man
One of the best Pacman games ever written. Control is by joystick or Jaguar joypad and is very responsive, unlike most other Pacman games. Action is very fast and everything is very smoothly animated at 50 fps on a standard STFM! In this version, different coloured pills allow you to perform different actions and there's keys to collect too. Kill all four ghosts at once for a "Kenneth Williams Bonus"! The ghosts are more intelligent than most, making this game a real challenge. Includes several levels of play.

-
Alien Blast
A Shareware shoot 'em up in a similar style to Alien Thing. You must navigate through a disused space station collecting keys, ammunition and other bits and pieces which sustain your vitals, give access to inaccessable areas and help you blast up the aliens. There's even computerised stores which can be accessed to provide vital statistics about your status and from which to purchase supplies. This is a limited demo which quits to the Desktop when you get killed. An excellent fast action shoot 'em up with a tactical theme.

100-4-1
There's 100 squares on the rid and you have to place numbered counters onto it. The rules are simple, all counters must be placed next to existing counters, two counters of the same value cannot be adjacent to each other and two counters of the same colour may not be adjacent. Just to liven things up, there are multiply squares. Try to achieve the highest scores by strategic placement on multipliers and you'll snooker yourself for clearing all the counters. At the end of the game, the values of all unplaced counters are deducted from your score. -
Restart
A matching pairs type game. If you match two blue numbers you get the score, match two reds and your opponent gets it. You have 30 numbers to find in the grid but not all numbers are present. The game continues through multiple levels until one player has found all 30 of his numbers. Adds that extra challenge to a traditional matching pairs game. Several skill levels and your opponent can be human or computer controlled. -
Cross Slide
Once again played on a 10x10 grid. You must hop around the 11 squares in numerical order. The rules are simple, you must go round the numbers in sequence, avoid falling off the edge of the board and avoid the holes left behind by previously cleared squares. Simple? Not when the board randomly moves in a different direction at the end of each move! Several levels to complete.

-
Gin Rummy
The computer version of the popular card game in which you have to try to get four cards of one kind and three of another. Your opponent is the computer. Excellent graphics and a choice of ten tunes to listen to. Fairly well documented too. -
Solomon's Quest
Another one from the archives. This is a text based adventure game written with the STOS Adventure Creator in the pre-Silly Software days. You play the part of a cave-dwelling barbarian. A Princess has been kidnapped and the King's gold stolen. You are assigned to retrieve both, along with a golden scroll. Worse still, you have to kill the wicked witch. A traditional adventure game. -
Jet Set Willy
Look what we've unearthed from the archives! Jetset Willy was a classic with a cult following on the Spectrum and C64, there was even a followup though I can't remember its name. The game was converted to the ST in the mid eighties but the publishing house (Software Projects) pulled the plug on it before release. Although unreleased, the game was completed. Software Projects are long since departed and the authors have decided to release the game for all to enjoy. It is identical to the 8-bit version but has lost none of its original addictiveness. The only drawback is that it comes with no instructions. You have to wander through about 50 levels of platforms and ladders collecting objects as you go. A certain number of objects must be collected before you are allowed to go to bed. There's a timer and needless to say, you must complete your task before bed time. -
Zuc Accrul's Quest
A graphic adventure created using the STAC adventure writing system and Deluxe Paint. Full instructions are contained within the program. Does not run on TOS 1.6 or later.
